Tipping, also known as Baksheesh, is an expected thing in Egypt; it reflects your appreciation for the efforts of the person who helped you in something. Many Egyptians who work in the service or hospitality industry consider Baksheesh is an essential aspect of their life and income because they are not well paid.

There are two types of tipping:
1 – Kitty Tipping It means that you will pay the Baksheesh within your tour price, and our tour operator will distribute it to drivers, hotel staff, cruise crew, and guides, etc. In this type, you will no need to pay any extra tips during your tour.

2 – Self-Management: During your tour, your private tour guide will handle tips. At the end of your tour, you will give the tipping for the guide. Do not forget to tip the guide.

Tips to Minimum expected tipping in Egypt: Tips or Baksheesh can be in Dollars, Euro, or even Egyptian Pounds, but not coins.

Baksheesh Guidelines on the group: (Start from 10 persons)
• Tips for Tour Guide starts from 10 to 15 US$ per person per day.
• Tips for Tour Leader starts from 5 to 10 US$ per person per day.
• Tips for Drivers starts from 2 to 5 US$ per person per day.

Baksheesh Guidelines in individual tours:
• Tips for Tour Guide starts from 25 to 50 US$ per person per day.
• Tips for Tour Leader starts from 15 to 20 US$ per person per day.
• Tips for Drivers starts from 10 to 15 US$ per person per day.

• Tips for waiters in restaurants start from 5 US$.
• Tips for hotel bellman, hotel doorman, or Airport start from 2 to 4 US$.
• Tips in Nile Cruise. There is a tips box on the cruise. You can put in it your Baksheesh. It may not less than10$ per day per person.
